I wish to use the CFG-DP V2.0 to configure an XI/ON slave with an analog output(-10V..+10V). However, this was not shown in the module list.

  • The reason why the module texts are not shown is that the column width setting inside the module selection window has to be changed.

Where can the device master data (GSD file) for XI/ON be downloaded?

  • When clicks the question a download is possible.

Is it possible to combine the XN-4DI-24VDC-P and XN-4DI-24VDC-N input module with the XN-S4x-SBBS base module ?

  • Yes it is possible. Advantage: Reduced space requirements for your XI/ON station and savings in time and costs for wiring.

Is there a counter module in the fieldbus-system ?

  • Yes, in the XI/ON system is a counter module XN-1CNT-24VDC.

How big is the memory for historic diagnostics in the I/OAssistant software?

  • The historic diagnostics is saved in the gateway. This memory is sufficient for 20 entries that can be saved for up to 24 days. Each new diagnostics report removes the oldest one from the memory. A voltage interruption has the effect of a reset.

How do I change the IP address (Internet Protocol) in an XC600 ?

  • In the device menu select from the main menu:
    Device => Network =>IP address.
The device must be restarted once the ip address has been changed.
The restart takes place automatically by returning to the main menu via ENTER.

Is there an available S40 function block for XI/ON diagnostics evaluation with the Moeller PLC ?

  • Yes, XI/ON diagnostics can be evaluated with the function bloc : PdpStationDiag.

How many XStart modules can be configured in an XI/ON station ?

  • A maximum of 20 XStart modules can be used as DOL starters without trip-indicating auxiliary contacts in an XI/ON station. With a trip-indicating auxilary contact and reversing starters with / without trip indication, the maximum number is only 10.

Are in XI/ON the slices for potential isolation and power supply protected against polarity reversal and short-circuits (for 24V DC and 230 V AC) ?

  • Please click on the question to obtain further information.

Are WINbloc and XI/ON protected against incorrect plug connection ?

  • Yes, for every WINbloc and XI/ON electronic module, we provide coding elements that can be used if required.

Does WINbloc and XI/ON have the same function in the same network type ?

  • Yes, this is ensured without restriction.

With which standards and regulations for industrial requirements does WINbloc comply ?

  • Standards and regulations:
    VDE 0611 Part 1/8.92
    IEC/EN 60 947-7-1

With which European EMC standard does WINbloc comply ?

  • WINbloc interference immunity complies with EN 50082-1 and -2.

How are the XI/ON modules coded?

  • The modules are self-coding. This is done by fitting the card (electronic module) in the base unit.

What terminals are used with XI/ON ?

  • Screw or tension clamp terminals are used with XI/ON.

Is the size of XI/ON smaller than competitor products ?

  • Yes, XI/ON input/output modules (slices) are 12.5 mm wide. Most competitor modules, such as Siemens, have a width of 15 mm.

What are the maximum number of digital and analog modules (channels) ?

  • The maximum number of digital channels is 256 per station and 64 analog channels per station.

Can I use only Input slices on a PROFIBUS-DP XI/ON XSystem Remote Gateway ?
