Evolution in the control cabinet and on the machine.

SmartWire Darwin is launching a revolution inside your control cabinet: the control cabinet is being completely redesigned in single evolutionary stages. A process which, due to its depth and scope, can only be implemented by a leading manufacturer like Moeller. Use the diagrams to view the development steps already completed as well as the future-safe technology of tomorrow.

SmartWire Darwin ready to launch into the future.

Machines are increasing in complexity and the controls are becoming more intelligent. Accordingly, the configuration effort increases and the demands on the personnel also increase significantly. A new technology is required to provide clarity in the ever-increasing complexity and to reduce the time and effort required: SmartWire Darwin.

In the past, a control panel consisted of a central control with switchgear, sensors and actuators, which all had to be wired individually.

Disadvantages: extensive wiring effort, large and expensive control panels, time-intensive commissioning.

Motor starters and controls are already directly interconnected with SmartWire. However, the sensors and actuators still have to be individually wired. Not directly, to the central control, but rather to the distributed I/O level.

Disadvantage: no continuous wiring of the switchgear as individual wiring to the distributed I/O level is still required.

With SmartWire Darwin the I/O level on the central control is no longer necessary. The complete control wiring is no longer required for contactors and motor starters, control circuit devices, touch operator panels, circuit-breakers and drives.

Advantage:
clearly arranged and compact control panel, wiring faults and time-consuming troubleshooting are a thing of the past, the distributed I/O level is eliminated.
