The device configuration
BreakerVisu requires a fieldbus connection (1) for every circuit-breaker. The connection is used to connect the switches to the PROFIBUS-DP bus. The data server (2) collects all the data, saves all the events in a log file, incorporates the data into a graphic and makes it available on the Ethernet. An office PC (3) equipped with a standard "Internet Browser" and "Excel" is used for representation and evaluation.
BreakerVisu initially supports a maximum of 20 circuit-breakers on a PROFIBUS-DP line. The actual BreakerVisu software can be downloaded free-of-charge from the Internet and transferred to the data server via a memory card. It can be operated on any Ethernet TCP/IP network. In the most basic configuration, this network consists of just a PC and the data server. It can however be extended to incorporate a large international company Intranet network.
The IP address assignment can be defined via a text file on the memory card.
