Xcomfort – with Moeller Building Automation a screwdriver is the key to intelligence
With Nikobus and wireless transmission, Moeller Building Automation is making an intelligent control system available to the electrical contractor who needs only a simple screwdriver to achieve effective control of the complete service installation in a building.
What does Moeller offer that others do not? A simple yet effective control system for the intelligent automation of building services. The Niko system, now also available in Germany, was developed specifically for building services automation and, in comparison with the competition, is much easier and quicker to install but offers highest reliability. Operating convenience, safety, reliability and comfort in the living area can be clearly increased in this way, while energy costs are being optimized.
A screwdriver in place of expensive software
Moeller's Belgian partner NIKO has developed the Nikobus system. A screwdriver is all that it takes to program the individual control functions. There is no need therefore either for expensive schooling or for investment in computers or expensive software.
The Nikobus system thus closes a gap in the market in this area, since it was developed specifically and exclusively for building services automation. The electrical contractor now has a cost-efficient bus system at his disposal, which he can program easily without any prior training.
Installation without having to make holes in the wall
Surveys have shown that many consumers would like more comfort and safety/reliability, but find the associated disruption in the home through dirt, noise, additional work on painting or papering the walls, most off-putting. The new wireless controlled Moeller RF system is ideally suited for the control of family homes, shops, flats, conservatories, etc., because its functional versatility can be utilized even in existing buildings, without holes having to be made in walls or additional building work to be carried out. The required commands and signals are transmitted to the receiver devices via radio.
There is no need for wiring of the individual intelligent devices, they exchange data and control signals simply by wireless communication. The Niko design integrates all these devices fully with its wall-recessed range, which is available in three variants including all the functions from light switches, etc. to data sockets.
The cost-efficient wireless controlled Moeller RF system and the Nikobus system, together with the corresponding devices from Moeller, offer a comprehensive product range, particularly attractive for retrofitting for the end user, but also for the electrical contractor, because it makes installation and programming of a building services automation system child's play.
