Eaton relies on electronic control units with the motor-protective circuit-breakers PKE. Motor-protective circuit-breaker PKE with electronic overload protection offers an interesting alternative to the bimetal solution and complements the PKZ series from Eaton. Motor-protective circuit-breakers with electronic wide-range overload protection have significant benefits in comparison to devices with thermal overload protection.

The characteristics: Wide adjustment ranges, low heat losses, tripping classes greater than CLASS 10 as well as precise and extremely long-time stable tripping characteristic curves: The large current setting ranges reduce the number of variants (by up to 75 percent compared to bimetal trips), minimises design engineering requirements and reduces costs allowing for savings in inventory handling, inventory costs and capital commitment.

The motor-protective circuit-breaker PKE provides the highest level of flexibility featuring a compact and modular design for motor currents up to 65 A.
