DILM12- XPBC – An efficient solution for integration of electronics

When contactors are intended for mounting on circuit-boards, the user frequently uses special contactors which are specifically designed for mounting on circuit boards. These so-called print contact contactors are connected to the corresponding soldering studs, which are then soldered into place on the circuit board.

The disadvantage here: The relatively "heavy" contactor is soldered firmly onto the "light" circuit board and can no longer be snapped onto the top-hat rail. Furthermore, if the contactor needs to be exchanged, it requires a complex desoldering procedure to remove it from the circuit-board.

The solder pin adapter allows attachment of a circuit board directly to a standard contactor and establishes contact with the appropriate connections of the contactor.

The solder pin adapter is a fixing plate which has identical 45 mm grid dimension contours, as the standard DILM7 . .M15 contactor, and includes 4 mounted soldering studs for incorporating a circuit board. The user can solder the circuit board directly onto the fixing plate.

Subsequently, the fixing plate with the circuit board can be simply plugged onto the contactor. Contact is established here to the control of the contactor coil (contacts A1/A2) as well as to the on-board auxiliary contact of the contactor via the tried-and-tested interface of the tool-less plug connection.

The benefits for the user are evident:

Reduction of time and costs

Simple and quick installation and removal are guaranteed as soldering is no longer required. When exchanging the contactor, the circuit board can be removed and reconnected to the contactor without the need to use tools.

Use of standard contactors DILM7...M15

Simplification of the logistics, reduction of the article number requirement.

Flexible in design

Contactors with the solder pin adapter and circuit board can still be snapped onto the top-hat rail.
