M-Max™ Frequency Inverters
Additional Functions Open New Application Areas

After the successful launch of the new frequency inverters of the M-Max series, Eaton's Moeller business is now offering a large number of additional features: Single-phase 230V devices in the rating range from 0.18 to 2.2 kW, threephase 230V devices (0.25 to 2.2 kW), 480V (0.37 to 7.5 kW) and 575V (0.55 to 7.5 kW) are available. External filters are available for special applications such as low leakage current, EMC category C1 or larger cable lengths. M-Max offers an inexpensive solution with devices also without internal filters. Low leakage current device combinations can also be operated in conjunction with leakage current protective devices. Moreover, mobile machines with plug connections can also be connected to M-Max devices in EMC category C1 applications. The digital device inputs/outputs offer a selectable positive or negative logic, the two analog inputs can now also be switched between current and voltage. The functional expansions of the M-Max frequency inverters give users the opportunity to create a second parameter set and to switch for example between these two via a digital input. All this expands its use for considerably more applications. The functional expansions can be seen externally via two additional buttons on the operator panel, and allow an even faster and more convenient navigation in the menus. Other fieldbuses can be connected as well as the series RS485 interface with the Modbus protocol. The following interfaces are offered: CANopen in compliance with the DSP 402 profile, PROFIBUS DP in compliance with the PROFIDrive 4.0 profile and DeviceNet. The fieldbus interfaces can be used both for M-Max as well as for devices of the H-Max series. These fieldbus interfaces will be available as an option with future Eaton Moeller frequency inverter device series.
