Eaton Expands its HMI and HMI/PLC Product Range for Industrial Automation.
Bonn (St. Gallen)… As one of the leading manufacturers of components and systems for electrical engineering and automation, Eaton is launching new fully graphical 5.7" or 7" widescreen touch display.
Instead of text-based operating devices, compact HMI solutions are increasingly being used in a wide range of applications. Eaton's XV100 Micro Panel is matching this trend in particular – standing out from competitors with its compact dimensions and high performance. The XV100 HMI has a 400 MHz RISC processor that can optimally handle even demanding PLC applications in addition to HMI tasks. The 128 MB onboard memory can be expanded if required with an SD memory card. It comes with an onboard Ethernet interface as standard. Depending on type, CAN, Profibus, RS232 or RS485 interfaces are also provided.
The devices can be used as combined HMI or also as a combined HMI/PLC units and are fitted with a fully graphical 3.5", 5.7" or 7" widescreen touch display. The 7 inch widescreen device provides the customer for the first time with a 16:9 format unit with a high brilliance display. Like all visualization devices of the xSystem product groups, the XV100 can be programmed as a PLC to IEC61131-3 with the Galileo visualization software or CoDeSys visualization software and with the CoDeSys-based xSoft-Codesys-2 programming system. Thanks to its small mounting depth, the panels can also be installed where users find space restricted. All display fronts can be customized if required.
XV100 devices support the trend towards scalable hardware and software solutions that allow machine and system builders to keep the requirements for engineering and system maintenance to a minimum. The XV100 provides the machine builder with a compact operating device that offers considerably more functionality than any conventional text display. The XV100 series also supports the requirements for a modular machine design.
