Eaton’s Moeller Business Expands its motor connector Product Range

Eaton Moeller has consistently further developed its tool-less connection technology with the DILM12-XMCP/E (3~ / PE) 4-pole motor connector system. This optional interface allows the contacting of the corresponding auxiliary and main poles to the switchgear.
With DILM12-XMCP/E, Eaton Moeller is expanding its proven tool-less connection technology to standard DILM7..M15 contactors with spring-loaded terminals. Users can now use the main and control circuit connections for the tool-less plug connections with the motor feeder plug system. These link plugs now make it possible to create applications reliably and quickly such as for reversing or star-delta starters.
With the DILM12-XMCP/E motor connector system or the DILM12-XMCE PE module, Eaton Moeller is pioneering a new connection philosophy for efficient wiring in the switch cabinet. The connection of the motor feeder cable, L1-L3 and the PE connection directly on contactor not only saves on incomer terminal blocks and the corresponding amount of mounting rail installation in the switching cabinet, but also on additional steps such as the cable connections and testing of incomer terminal blocks to the contactors.
This new technology is not just available for the DILM7..M15 contactors but is also available for the soft starters. Also with these components, a direct connection of the motor feeder on the active switching device is possible using the PE module and motor feeder plug. This saves time and money, as well as ensuring safe and error-free mounting.
The application range of this connection technology supports panel and system builders for global system installations all the way to end customers that wish or need an alternative to conventional wiring practices in order to improve the costs, availability or space requirements of their systems. Pluggable connections allow simpler handling during servicing – when disconnecting and connecting.
The PE module that is clipped on to the contactor connects the PE conductor directly to the contactor. The ground contact is made with the spring plate of the PE conductor terminal which is pressed with the contactor against the grounded mounting rail at three special contact areas, thus making a durable and secure connection.
