NZML2 and NZML3 circuit breakers with high switching powers at 690VAC
Vienna . . . As one of the leading manufacturers of components and systems for electro- and automation technology, Eaton's Electrical Sector offers high switching powers at 690VAC, with its new NZML2 and NZML3 circuit breakers. With the new NZML2 and NZML3, special highlights are being brought to market at the 2011 Hannover Messe. Both enhance the already-existing, world-renowned NZM family and round off the assortment in the area of systems with high energy density. Not only do industries such as mining, ship applications or the chemical industry require high switching powers of 690VAC, renewable energies such as wind energy systems, for example, are also a target of the new products.
The variety of products meets almost all requirements: The NZML2 is available with an electronic tripping unit up to 160A, and the NZML3 of up to 400A at 690VAC manages a switching capacity of 80kA. The circuit breakers are available in the universally known and established -VE version, with high-grade short-time delayed trigger electronics and a communication interface. In addition, there are 3- and 4-pole circuit breakers. In order to meet the diverse needs and requirements, these products are type-tested pursuant to IEC 60947-2 and possess comprehensive international approvals and certificates of conformity for ship applications such as German Lloyd, Buero Veritas and Lloyds Register.
Other areas of application are also found by the new, compact circuit breakers in motor control centers. The -ME electronic, especially developed for motor applications, is available in size 2 up to 140A, and in size 3 up to 350A. Customers also benefit from Eaton's broad and precisely coordinated assortment of products - the circuit breakers for motor control centers are type-tested pursuant to EN 60947-4-1, in combination with Eaton contactors of the DIL series.
Many applications require long-lasting and robust products: Eaton designed its circuit breakers for a long operating life; the NZML 3 is designed for 10,000 mechanical switching operations, and the NZML2 is even designed for 15,000. Further, the circuit breakers may be used within a broad temperature range of -25°C to + 70°C.
Almost a matter of course at Eaton - the entire assortment of accessories is available without restrictions to users, even for the new NZML2 / NZML3.
