Rapid Link For Use Without 24V Auxiliary Voltage
Rapid Link is a decentralised switchgear system from Moeller designed for switching, controlling and protecting motors. The modular system brings the switching and protective device technology directly to the motor. In this way, Rapid Link drastically reduces the volume of the switching cabinet and also considerably reduces cabling requirements. The devices, which can be fitted directly to the roller conveyors and conveyor tables, are connected quickly and error-free to the data and energy bus using pre-assembled connectors. The Rapid Link system only requires a few basic device types, thus reducing inventory costs and providing conveying systems with a high level of availability.
Decentralised motor starters and speed controllers significantly reduce the effort and costs required for the installation. Rapid Link motor starter units are interconnected using a 5-pole power bus (400V) and a two-pole data bus (AS-Interface). With the new generation of RA-MO motor starters, the additional provision of a 24V auxiliary voltage is totally unnecessary. The RA-SP frequency-controlled motor starters of Rapid Link also do not require any additional 24V voltage. As well as material and installation costs, engineering requirements are also reduced since users no longer have to plan 24V emergency-stop groups.
