Bonn, March 2007 – Knowledge of what the customer needs – with the expansion of its circuit breaker portfolio, Moeller offers flexible solutions that can be used worldwide.
New LZM circuit breakers – optimum price to performance ratio
Moeller’s paramount goal is to be competitive. The company in Bonn meets this challenge with the LZM device series, among other things. It is employed within the infrastructure for power distribution and covers the typical requirements of functional buildings such as banks, insurance companies, IT centres, hotels, and public buildings.
Typical features of the new series are nominal currents of up to 1600 amps with a graded short-circuit breaking capacity of 25 to 70 kA, with 400/415V. The design of the switches has been optimally suited to the requirements in the building sector. They thus offer a very good price to performance ratio.
The accessories include connector systems for cable or busbar connections, auxiliary switches for the indication of the switching status, under-voltage and shunt trip releases for remote switching and rotary handles for exterior service in enclosures.
Moeller’s new BZM 1 circuit breaker series for up to 125A
The BZM series has been developed especially for the protection of systems - to round off the selection for basic applications.
This series involves an electro-mechanic product that has factory pre-set overload and short-circuit tripping mechanisms.
The brand new, and only recently available BZM 1 construction size, is available in a 3-pole design with a 15 kA switching capacity and 16 to 125 A of nominal current. The nominal voltage generally totals a max. of 415 V AC.
Moeller is continuously working on the further development of this product line. So, the 3-pole BZM 1 will soon have siblings with higher switching capacities of 18 kA and 25 kA.
Furthermore, 2-pole and 4-pole designs are being implemented and the series will be rounded off with an optimised range of accessories.
The accessories’ end stage will include rotary handles, terminal covers, shunt trip releases, low-voltage releases, and a clips plate that is required for direct mounting onto the DIN rail. Effective immediately, auxiliary contacts with screw-type and plug-in connector technologies are also available.
Tested pursuant to IEC/EN 60947-2, and affixed with the CCC mark of conformity, the BZM is best applicable to system and cable protection in large-volume markets such as Asia, Eastern Europe, South America and Africa.
One particular feature distinguishes the BZM devices: They are available with two different connector technologies. If necessary, you can select between a cable lug and a lift terminal.
