easyRelay and easyControl: easy Function Library for Microsoft Visual C++ and Visual Basic.

Moeller is offering adventurous programmers a special function library for creating customised PC-based visualization solutions with the easy family. The easy_com.dll contains functions for communication with easyRelay (easy500, 700, 800, MFD-CP8) and easyControl (EC4P-200). It can be used both for Microsoft Visual C++ V6.0 SP5, for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and also for Visual Basic 6.0.

The following functions are provided:

• Connection setup via a COM port (serial interface or USB converter) with automatic testing of the possible baud rates,
• Connection setup via Ethernet and TCP/IP,
• Simultaneous operation of several open connections,
• Communication with all easyNet stations via an open connection (Routing),
• Unlocking and locking of a device with a system password protection,
• Starting and stopping of program execution,
• Reading out and setting of device clock,
• Reading out of the process image,
• Writing to the marker range,
• Reading out and writing of year time switch and 7-day time switch channels.

easy_com.dll has been released for Windows 2000 (SP4), Windows XP (SP2) and Windows Vista (32-bit). Moeller is offering users the unrestricted, non-exclusive and free right to use the easy_com.dll function library for developing their own software.
