Craig McDonnell Appointed As Head of Eaton's Automation Business Unit
Morges, Switzerland / Bonn, Germany . . .Diversified power management company Eaton Corporation has appointed Craig McDonnell as head of the Eaton Industrial Automation Business Unit (IAB) in Eaton's Electrical Sector, effective November 1, 2011. McDonnell succeeds Dr. Martin U. Schefter, who has decided to leave the company after nine years.
Craig McDonnell was most recently EMEA Vice President Marketing with responsibility for strategic and operational marketing for Eaton's Electrical Sector across the region. He joined Eaton in 1995 as an application engineer for industrial controls and has since held various leadership positions within the company. McDonnell holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and a master's in engineering from Oxford University, UK. Craig McDonnell will head and further develop Eaton's global automation business from Eaton's European headquarters in Morges, Switzerland, his offices in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and from Bonn, Germany.
